Charlie R. North was raised in a small town in Northwestern Montana, where her passion for poetry began at an early age. Now settled in Iowa with her husband, she has raised their family while recently earning her MA in English Literature from Iowa State University. With her degree complete, Charlie is focusing on nurturing her creative voice and giving back to her community. Her poem, “Battered Secrets,” was a top finalist in Wingless Dreamer’s Calling the Beginning anthology. Charlie’s work has appeared in Poet’s Choice and Beyond Words Literary Magazine, and she is the recipient of Lyrical Iowa’s 2022 First Time Entrant Award. Most recently, her poetry was featured in The Cities of the Plains anthology from Grand View University.
